The December 21, 2016 meeting of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Society of Enrolled Agents was held at the home of Rebecca Donehew Daleville VA. The meeting was called to order at 12:00 by David Tanner. No financial report was given. The education portion of the meeting began at 1:00 PM with Herbert D. Mills giving a presentation on Offer in Compromise and concluded at 2:00PM. Some of the agents were dealing with issues concerning the probability of these offers being accepted so the information was very helpful. One hour of CPE will be awarded for this presentation. Our next meeting will be held January 18, 2017 at Famous Anthony’s Williamson Road Roanoke, VA. Meeting was adjourned. Rebecca Donehew Secretary |

The meeting was held at Famous Anthonys Roanoke VA and was called to order at 12:00 noon by President David Tanner. Guests were welcomed and recognized. No treasurer report was given. The minutes from the October 2016 and December 2016 meetings were presented for approval. Motion made by Gail Abbott and second by William Barbour to approve the minutes. Motion approved. The education portion of the meeting began at 12:30 PM and was presented by David Tanner with a focus on Churches and the IRS with rules governing the filing of minister and employees of the church. The meeting was held at El Rio Mexican Restaurant, Rocky Mount, VA and was called to order at 12:00 noon by President, David Tanner. Guest were welcomed and recognized. Fritz Greimel gave the Treasurer's report. The minutes from the January 18, 2017 meeting were approved. Bill Barbour noted he will be presenting the May 17 CE program on Timber Sales. It was noted Chapter dues of $25 were due on January 1. The education portion of the meeting began at 12:37 p.m. and was presented by Brian Hamilton on the topic of Computer Security.
